Castaic, CA

I have managed to make it over the grape vine, motorhome and trailer intact. I look forward to spending the next couple weeks with my friend Susan while she helps me set up this site and wait out the bad weather! I feel the weather following me down the coast. I am still waiting to dry out. There are some small holes in the roof that need to be repaired and sealed. Water seeps everywhere.

The weather has finally dried out enough to take the bike out. I’ve text my friend Steve to see if we can meet up. He lives about an hour South in Whittier. Sunday is a football and beer day, perfect for a visit!

Steve pulls out all the stops. His famous sweet chili’s stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. Heavenly, we wash them down with Tecate and watch football. Steve’s wife Felicia wants a small dog so chewy is the apple of her eye. He shows off what few tricks he knows and begs for treats. The back yard is fenced so Chewy is free to roam. The weather is lovely, 70 and clear.
